This case involved the sale of a franchised business, with our client, 1162719 B.C. Ltd., alleging fraudulent misrepresentation by the defendants. Moreover, two of the three key witnesses testified in Mandarin through an interpreter, necessitating sensitivity to linguistic and cultural nuances throughout the trial.
