Melia Moorhouse practices in the areas of civil and commercial litigation, and has assisted clients with a broad range of disputes including property, contract, construction, and business disputes. She is dedicated to helping her clients find the appropriate solution whether through settlement or court. Melia has represented clients before the Supreme Court and Provincial Court of British Columbia.
Melia was called to the Bar in British Columbia in 2019. She joined Rush Ihas Hardwick LLP after beginning her career articling and as an associate with a leading insurance defence firm in Vancouver. Melia is a graduate of the University of British Columbia Okanagan and Dalhousie University. She holds a degree in Political Science, Philosophy, and Economics (2014) and a Juris Doctor in Law (2018). While at Dalhousie University for law school, Melia participated in the Gale Cup Moot and the Smith Shield Moot where she received the A.S. Patillo Prize in Advocacy.
When not in the office, Melia enjoys getting outside through camping, climbing, hiking, and skiing.
