Rush Ihas Hardwick LLP is pleased to welcome Ann Zhu to the firm as an associate!

Before turning to law, Ann spent over 20 years in the building industry, with experience spanning land acquisition, planning, permitting, project management, and contract and budget management. After earning a bachelor’s degree in architecture in China and a master’s degree in project management in Australia, she moved to Canada in 2012 and worked as a development manager for real estate firms in the Vancouver area, later joining a leading general contractor as a pre-construction project manager.

In 2021, Ann returned to school, obtaining her Juris Doctor from Thompson Rivers University in 2024. She interned and articled with a construction litigation firm in the Vancouver area before joining Rush Ihas Hardwick in Kelowna. Ann’s background gives her a practical, on-the-ground understanding of the construction industry and she draws on that experience in her real estate and construction disputes practice, along with corporate and commercial litigation and estate litigation matters.

We are glad to have Ann’s rare combination of industry expertise and legal training on our team.
